Office planning
How often should a DFW office be cleaned?
The right office-cleaning schedule follows how a workspace is used. A small office with few visitors has different needs from a client-facing lobby, a shared kitchen, or a space with daily meetings. Start with the touchpoints and traffic that accumulate between visits.
Use traffic to set the baseline
Daily attention often makes sense for restrooms, break areas, entry glass, and trash in active spaces. A recurring full-service visit can then cover desks, floors, surfaces, and detail work at a cadence that fits the office. Rather than choosing a frequency by square footage alone, list who uses each zone and how often.
Build a checklist your team can verify
- Identify public-facing areas, restrooms, kitchens, and shared equipment.
- Separate daily upkeep from tasks that need weekly or periodic attention.
- Name the access window, alarm process, and any rooms that need special approval.
- Review the scope after headcount, layout, or visitor patterns change.
Keep product choices specific
If a workplace prefers a particular product standard, put that requirement in writing. The EPA’s voluntary Safer Choice label is one way purchasers can identify products evaluated against its criteria; it is more meaningful than a vague “green” claim. A cleaning provider should confirm what it can supply rather than imply a certification it does not hold.
